Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026 · Effective: 9 July 2026

This policy explains what information Datomiq collects when you join our launch waitlist, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately short because the waitlist itself is deliberately small: we ask only for what we need to build Datomiq and to tell you when it’s ready.

Who we are

“Datomiq” (“we”, “us”) operates datomiq.io and the Datomiq desktop application. For anything in this policy, you can reach us at privacy@datomiq.io. For waitlist data, we are the data controller.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect only what you submit in the form:

  • Your email address — so we can email you at launch and about your waitlist perk.
  • Your answers — the optional context you choose to share, such as which databases you use, your role, or what you want from Datomiq.

The waitlist form is hosted on Google Forms, which may also record standard technical information (for example, the time of submission) as part of delivering the form. We do not add analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies to the form.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

  • Build a better product — your answers help us prioritise what Datomiq should do first.
  • Let you know when it’s ready — a launch email, plus the occasional short update about the waitlist in the run-up to release.
  • Apply your waitlist offer — the free month of the Professional plan we promised waitlist members, applied per person and redeemable within 30 days of launch.

We do not sell or rent your information, use it for third-party advertising, or add you to unrelated marketing. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with service providers who help us run the waitlist, and only so they can perform that service for us:

  • Google — hosts the waitlist form and stores the responses on our behalf.
  • Our email provider — delivers the launch and waitlist emails.

These providers may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses). We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information until Datomiq launches and your offer has been made available, and for a short period afterwards to administer it — after which we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to remove you sooner at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from any waitlist email using the link in it, and you can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to withdraw your consent, by emailing privacy@datomiq.io. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect processing we already carried out.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example under the GDPR (EEA/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We honour these requests regardless of where you are.

Children

Datomiq is a professional developer tool and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for material changes, let waitlist members know by email. Once Datomiq launches, a fuller product privacy policy will govern your use of the application.

Questions about your data or this policy? Email us at privacy@datomiq.io — a real person reads it.
